(but looks like if you make camp it will save). Coupled with the random crashes, it can really be a pain. Sometimes you go through a long stretch without a save. You can lose characters and their items and everything you invested into them. Your cast rotates a lot, it's difficult to know who to invest into. There are so many choices you get to make, but the short term output seems quite random, and you can't really tell the long term results. There are a few things I don't really like and find quite frustrant, but they are not necessarily bad per se: Makes up for a good challenge even if you are quite stronger than the enemy. And the battle system is quite interesting and tactical.

I really can't find the words to say how much I loved it. The story is so good I wish there was a book about it. While not all characters are well developed there is still a pretty big cast of great characters and they are not flat at all. Maybe there could be another option to play more battles, like a survival mode or some challenges. The story is short, I played the whole game in a little less than 10 hours, but I feel that the time is enough for what the story told. The TBS style of game is really complex, and the amount of classes makes that in the end, there are not enough battles to play with all the options you have. There is a maximum amount of battles you can have and even an achievement if you got more than 40. My main complaint is with the amount of battles. The first time the serpent appear was to me a great 'wow', and really hook me in the mistery of what it is and what is doing there.

The music is also a high point in the story, I really found the chorus music to add a lot to the story.Īlso the graphics, which are all hand made, add to the story. For example, I stand by one of the characters wanting to train others, and in this way got the best unit in the game.

The story is great, with a map full with lore, a lot of characters, each with individual way to speak and personality, and the decisions you made throught the game have a real implication in your story. Each character used here is one of the main characters in the story of the game, and there is a lot. The other part is a TBS game, where you control up to six individual characters to fight, with different classes and special abilities.

The game consist of two parts, on one you manage your group while it travels through the world, making decisions about supplies, people to accept in your party and how to react with robbers, problems in your group or how your troops attack in big battles. A really beautiful game, with a big story.
